Woodland Animals: Learn about Tracks + Scat!
Come out to our third Picture Books + Poetry meet up! This month we’ll be exploring Native Woodland Animals. We’ll talk about who they are, how to track them and what they’re doing to prepare for winter. We’ll read some stories/ poetry about these sometimes mysterious creatures and create beautiful art together. There will be curiosities to discover and other activities for families to join in.
In October, we welcomed Lauren Tafoya (curator + manager of Norfolk Botanical Garden’s butterfly house), Karen + Steve McCurdy, (Co-Presidents of the Butterfly Society of Virginia) and Miss Shannon from Adventure Seekers! We’re so grateful to them and for our time together. We had a really lovely morning learning about Monarchs and seized the opportunity to tag + release 6 of them into the wild. It was magic!

I’m also the curator and caretaker of the COZY CABIN book nook/ game area + the WILD WOOD children’s imaginative play area at Sojourn Fermentory.

Who is it for?
We meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month. This gathering is geared towards early learners (infant-4yrs), homeschool families (infant-18yrs) and their grown ups. We will have something for every age. Feel free come check it out!
