Join us on Pollinator Day!

Want to learn about the butterflies and bees in your garden and maybe go home with seeds and plants?

Planned locations include: 

  • Seaboard Coastline Trail at Driver Demo Garden  10:00 – 12:00
  • Sleepy Hole Park Children’s Learning Garden  11:00 – 1:00

Visit both gardens, take a tour, and learn about the flowers and plants in the gardens.

Complete an easy scavenger hunt at both gardens, and you can pick up a FREE pollinator plant at Sleepy Hole Park, while they last.

We have over 150 plants donated by Master Gardeners. Final plants may vary, but we plan to have:

Blackeyed Susan – Rudbeckia hirta

Blackeyed Susan – Rudbeckia spp. ‘Jeff’s Susan’

Blue False Indigo – Baptisia cultivar

Blue mistflower – Conoclinium coelestinum

Blunt Mountainmint – Pycnanthemum muticum

Butterfly Milkweed – Asclepias tuberosa

Buttonbush – Cephalanthus occidentalis

Common Milkweed – Asclepias syriaca

Cup Plant – Silphium perfoliatum

Golden Ragwort – Packera aurea

Hoary Mountainmint – Pycnanthemum incanum

Late Boneset – Eupatorium serotinum

Lyreleaf Sage – Salvia lyrata

Purple Coneflower – Echinacea purpurea

Spotted Bee Balm – Monarda punctata

Trumpet Vine – Campsis radicans

Virginia Creeper – Parthenocissus quinquefolia

Virginia Mountainmint – Pycnanthemum virginianum

Wild Bergamot – Monarda fistulosa

Wooly Pipevine – Aristolochia tomentosa

All ages are welcome!
