Shrek the Musical

Shrek the musical is based on the 2001 Dreamworks film “Shrek” and William Steig’s 1990 book.  This hilarious and heartwarming tale follows Shrek, a grumpy green Ogre, who lives a solitary life in his swamp.  His peaceful existence is disrupted when a group of fairytale creatures, banished by the diminutive Lord Farquaad, invade his home seeking refuge.  To reclaim his swamp Shrek  strikes a deal with Farquaad; he must rescue Princess Fiona, who is imprisoned in a tower guarded by a dragon.  Along the way he gains unexpected friendships and acceptance.
