Art of Wine Series Opening Reception: Walt Smith
The Art of Wine Series returns with featured artist Walt Smith, an emerging painter based in Portsmouth, Virginia. This multi-week exhibition pairs visual art with wine, conversation, and shared experience—inviting guests to engage with the artist’s work both in the gallery and at the table.
Smith’s paintings draw inspiration from post-impressionist influences, particularly Vincent Van Gogh, and often explore bold color, texture, and familiar imagery. His newest works include still lifes and scenes inspired by classic American films such as Ghostbusters and Edward Scissorhands, many of which will be shown publicly for the first time.
