46th Annual Suffolk Peanut Fest
Shell-ebrating Suffolk’s Roots, From our Hearts to Our Boots”
CELEBRATING 46 YEARS OF SUFFOLK PEANUT FEST
Suffolk Festivals, Inc. is pleased to announce that the 46th Annual Suffolk Peanut Fest will be held October 10-13, 2024, at the Suffolk Executive Airport. Scott Wiggins, the 2024 Festival Chairman, has declared this year’s theme: “Shell-ebrating Suffolk’s Roots, From our Hearts to Our Boots,” which he selected to celebrate Suffolk’s strong agricultural roots, its longstanding connection to our waterways for livelihood and leisure, and the community’s love for its City, especially as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the merger between Nansemond County and Suffolk.
Headlining the 2024 Suffolk Peanut Fest Main Stage will be the unforgettable baritone and unique blend of traditional and modern country music by EASTON CORBIN. The Florida native, who boasts two No. 1 singles with “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” will hit the stage Saturday, October 12. Additional musical acts include The Deloreans, Celeste Kellogg, Snackbar Jones, Vinyl Radio, Luke Willette Band, Shades of Gray, Mash Up & Cozy Condition, and Island Boy.
Expect tail-wagging excitement with the addition of dockdogs® to the festival. The World’s Premier Canine Aquatics Competition will host their Nationwide Sportsmen’s Series, October 11 – 13, at Suffolk Peanut Fest. Also on site will be Virginia Tourism Corporation’s LOVE Works, extra-large “love letters,” measuring 16’ w x 7’ h—perfect for photo ops.
Traditional festival fun continues with the annual Demolition Derby, Swamp Roar Motorcycle Rally, Peanut Cup Race, Monster Truck Rides, plus a full carnival complete with amusement rides, games and fest food. Special features include the World’s Only Peanut Butter Sculpting Competition, Suffolk Ruritan Club Shrimp Feast, fireworks, ArtVentures’ Imagination Station, Clogging Jamboree, a Touch-A-Truck interactive exhibit, straw maze, petting zoo and pony rides, plus a cornhole tournament, hot wing eating contests, two Princess Meet & Greet Sing-Alongs, etc.
Suffolk Parks and Recreation will host Senior Bingo and the annual Chalk Art Contest. Merchants, vendors, crafters and exhibitors will offer their wares and concessions, including beer and wine, throughout the event site.
