The work of renowned sculptors William and David Turner of the Eastern Shore of Virginia will be on exhibit at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts September 14th (opening reception) until October 21st. Both the BB&T and Norfolk Foundation galleries will house the amazing Turner creations in bronze as well as some of William Turner’s paintings. William Turner’s four published books will be available for purchase during the exhibit. The Turners, father and son, share a talent of capturing the beauty and motion of wildlife in bronze. To date the Turners have created more than 700 different limited edition bronzes and more than 100 large public commissions found throughout the U.S.

Alzheimer’s is an epidemic devastating our families, our finances and our future. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
On Saturday, September 16, 2017, the Western Tidewater Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place at Constant's Wharf Park & Marina, located at 110 East Constance Road. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., the ceremony at 9:40 a.m., and the walk at 10 a.m. The scenic route length is three miles, with a one-mile option. This year's honorary chair is Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson.
Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update our Walk homepage on or before the morning of the event.
