SUMMARY:Re-Wild with us: Learn about Monarchs!
DESCRIPTION:Come out to our second Picture Books + Poetry meet up! This month we’re exploring how to Re-Wild our yard. We’ll talk about why native plants are important for migrating butterflies. We’ll read some stories/ poetry about Monarchs and create beautiful art together. There will be curiosities to discover and other activities for families to join in.\nLast month, Nature’s Nanny brought an Eastern screech owl for us to visit with. This month, we have a special guest coming >>> Miss Shannon from OUR SENSORY FARM in Chesapeake. We’re excited to spend some time with her on October 6th. We hope to see you there!\nWho am I?My name is Jenna Chapman aka “The Blackbird Booker” and I am a naturalist and home educator. I’m passionate about helping families reconnect to the natural world. I’m also the curator and caretaker of the COZY CABIN book nook/ game area + the WILD WOOD children’s imaginative play area at Sojourn Fermentory.\nWho is it for?We meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month. This gathering is geared towards early learners (infant-4yrs), homeschool families (infant-18yrs) and their grown ups. We will have something for every age. Please come check it out!\nWill there be food? There will be food available to purchase on site in case you and your crew get hungry.\n\n
