  1. Suffolk Art League's 2019 Annual Juried Exhibition

    This Juried Exhibition is open to all visual artists working in any medium. The exhibition typically features approximately 100 works of art by artists from the Hampton Roads region and beyond. Over $2,400 in awards will be given, including a $500 First Prize and the opportunity for a one-person exhibit at the Suffolk Art Gallery in 2020.

  3. Home of the Brave 5K

    November 9, 2019, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

    Suffolk Parks & Recreation presents the Home of the Brave 5K and Kids ¼ Mile Dash which will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019. The race will begin and end at 150 North Main Street. The ¼ Mile Dash will begin at 8:30am, and the 5K will begin at 9:00am. Registration is available online at for the 5K and the ¼ Mile Dash. The registration fee for the 5K is $39. The ¼ Mile Dash is open to ages 2 to 10, and the registration fee is $24. Prices will increase on October 2, 2019. Runners are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue attire to show support for the Nation’s veterans. All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt.

  4. Veterans Day Concert at First Baptist Church of Suffolk

    The United States Navy Band Country Current (country-bluegrass ensemble) will be performing a concert to honor our veterans. Please join us at 2pm in the Family Life Center and invite your family, friends and neighbors. The concert will be free and open to the public.
