    This invitational exhibit highlights the art of functionality and will be on display through October 18. From handmade textile works, to hanging ceramic birdfeeders and turned wooden vessels, all works on display serve a functional purpose. Artists include Tom Wessells, Sam Warren, Ed Francis, Phil Guilfoyle, Linda Bunch, Beth Netts, and Angelia Armstrong.

  2. Exhibit: "Beauty Beneath The Bark" by 2019 Tidewater Turners of Virginia

    Tidewater Turners is a non-profit organization, a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, located in Norfolk. The purpose of the organization is to promote the advancement of woodturning skills for members and other interested persons through an open exchange of knowledge, ideas and information. They also strive to increase public awareness of woodturning as a popular craft and as an art form. Exhibit sponsored by Davenport & Company.

  4. Suffolk Peanut Fest Queen's Banquet and Fashions

    October 3, 2019, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront

    Celebrate Suffolk's shining young stars, and support local charities! The Peanut Festival queen is selected from among rising high school seniors that are evaluated by a panel based on four criteria: a creative writing essay; school activities; awards and achievements; and community involvement. The Queen and her Court will be recognized at a Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront, produced by the Pilot Club of Suffolk. General Seating only, $30 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Ticket outlets include: The Suffolk Visitor Center (524 North Main Street) and Cecilia's Boutique & Gifts (120 North Main Street).
