  1. "come as you are / every picture tells a story": One-Person Exhibit by Barbara Hennig-Loomis

    July 28, 2018, 10:00 AM - August 24, 2018, 5:00 PM @ Suffolk Art Gallery

Barbara Hennig-Loomis was the winner of the Suffolk Art League's 2017 Annual Juried Exhibition. As part of her award, she received the opportunity to present a one-person show. As a complement to Hennig-Loomis' work, there is a group show by Hampton Roads women artists who also work with the human figure. "The Ladies of the Club" will also be on display through August 24. Each of these artists approach the figure in very unique ways, from impressionistic portraiture to resin and polymer clay sculptures. Each artist has worked to capture their subjects at a particular point in time, real or imagined. The artists included in this exhibit are Leigh Babcock, Christy Frederick, Ivy Garrenton, Christine Harris, Dianne Hottenstein, Devi Anne Moore, Julie Stanton, Shara Wertz, and Jenny Windsor.
