Get started on your Christmas shopping at the Nansemond River Pilot Club's 13th Annual Fall Fair. We will have craft vendors with items such as handmade jams and jellies, jewelry, artisan soaps, clothing, glassware, purses, home décor and more! Plus, there will be direct sales vendors, baked goods, Brunswick stew, and door prize raffles! Free admission.
This is a fundraising event. All proceeds benefit organizations in our community.

The Hurrah Players, Virginia's leading family theatre company, presents the Broadway musical, ANNIE! Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, ANNIE is a worldwide phenomenon with seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. The beloved book and score by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, feature some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including "Tomorrow" and "Hard Knock Life." ANNIE is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

An official Virginia Civil War Trail site, Cedar Hill Cemetery has long been an attraction for history buffs and even walking groups. The Suffolk Division of Tourism offers a guided stroll through the pleasant 32-acre cemetery, rich in history and natural beauty. The 90-minute daytime tour will offer unique insights into Suffolk’s heritage as tour goers traverse the cedar-lined terrain dotted with timeworn headstones. Throw it back to the days of the Drive In! Bennett's Creek will transform for a family fun night of children's activities and two larger-than-life movie screens to watch "Guardians of the Galaxy" from the comfort of your front seat! Two full concession areas will be available with food and treats. No coolers or outside food in lawn movie area. Pets are welcome and must be on a leash when outside of your vehicle. The park will open at 5pm for parking and fun activities for the children, to include games, crafts, and bounce houses, while you wait for the movie to begin. The movie will begin at 7pm. Kids are welcome to come dressed as their favorite superheroes!

Looking for a fun night out? Do you want to stretch your creative muscles? Do you like wine? Then join us at the Suffolk Art Gallery for Paint Class & Wine Glass. This is the perfect night out with friends, a date, or to just plain have fun! Don't worry if you don't know how to paint: our instructor will guide you step-by-step so you can create your own masterpiece! All supplies will be provided as well as light hors d'oeuvres. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for those who do not wish to partake and for under aged attendees. This class is for ages 16 and up. The fee for the class is $35. Advanced registration is required so please call to save your seat. Registration is available in person at the Suffolk Art Gallery and online at the Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department website.
