    Showcasing the work of artists chosen through a juried process by the Artisan Center of Virginia. Works on display will be from a variety of mediums and items will be available for purchase, a unique gift-giving opportunity for the holiday season. Information on the extensive state-wide Artisan Trail in Virginia will be available. The Artisans Center of Virginia develops and implements systems and strategies to improve economic outcomes for Virginia artisans and their communities while assisting them in promoting their local artisan culture.

  3. Suffolk Grand Illumination

    November 17, 2017, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Market Park at Seaboard Station Railroad Museum

    The 2017 Holiday Season officially begins in Suffolk on Friday, November 17, with the Suffolk Grand Illumination Ceremony at Market Park in Downtown Suffolk. The event rings in the holidays with the park opening at 6 p.m. Watch the 32' tree light up when the switch is flipped at 6:15 p.m., illuminating Suffolk for the holiday season. Be there when Santa arrives in style (around 6:30 p.m.), and enjoy seasonal music courtesy of local choirs. Be sure to bring along your camera to capture your children's smiling faces as they whisper their Christmas wishes to Santa Claus. Stick around to purchase tasty treats from local vendors, as your children decorate their letter to Santa and visit the Suffolk Seaboard Station Railroad Museum. There will also be horse and carriage rides available for purchase!
