Hairspray, is a 2007 American musical-romantic comedy film that was based on the popular stage production. Tracy Turnblad, a teenager with all the right movies in 1962 Baltimore, is obsessed with the Corny Collins Show. When auditions for the next teen regular are held, Tracy’s selection angers evil dance queen Amber Von Tussle and her mother. Tracy decides that it's not fair that black kids can only dance on the show once a month, and with the help of those around her, she's going to integrate the show...all without denting her 'do. With an all-star cast that includes John Travolta, Nikki Blonsky, Michelle Pfeiffer, Amanda Bynes, and Zac Efron, this film is 117 minutes and rated PG.
