The Suffolk Art Gallery's winter exhibit features the work of John Tobin and Al Staszesky. Tobin's work, both ceramic and 2-D, draws influence from daily life, tongue-in-cheek humor, and turn of phrase. His style is distinct and vibrant, with influences from surrealism. Staszesky's style is vibrant and draws from post-impressionism styles, including fauvism and cubism.
On January 12, join us for an artist demonstration, when Tobin and Staszesky will give a live demonstration in the gallery showcasing their artistic processes, including both painting and ceramic work. Light refreshments will be provided. Online registration is encouraged (at www.suffolkva.us/parks) but not required.
Regular Suffolk Art Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, 1-5pm.
