Touch A Truck, Train & Trick or Treat

Saturday, October 28, 2017

Bring your little goblins and ghouls to the Seaboard Station Railroad Museum on Saturday, October 28, 2017, for Touch a Truck, Train & Trick or Treat! The event begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., rain or shine. Enjoy food, candy, games, trucks, trains and more! Children can see, touch, and explore their favorite big trucks and vehicles. It is a one-day interactive event that also gives children the opportunity to meet the men and women that serve, protect and build our community. Vehicles on display include construction trucks, emergency vehicles, tractor trailers, and utility trucks. BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR COSTUMES AND BRING YOUR OWN TRICK-OR-TREAT BAGS! Tickets are $5 each or 4 for $15.

In addition to benefiting the Downtown Suffolk merchants by attracting families to the heart of downtown, the "Touch a Truck..." event’s primary purpose is a fundraiser to support the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society programs and operations. The SNHS headquarters is located at the Phillips-Dawson House on Bank Street. Thanks to the dedication of our corporate partners, the SNHS “Touch a Truck ...” has become a favorite annual event for Suffolk’s families.

This event is presented by the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society, in partnership with the City of Suffolk, with generous sponsorship from: Towne Bank, Ryan Construction Company, Inc., Blair Bros. Inc., Chip's Repair & Towing, Duke Automotive, GTL Transport, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, Roger Fowler's Sales And Service, Inc., Starr Motors, Lee King, Holiday Ice, Major Signs, and Xenith Bank.
